Description: An introduction to issues specific to the acquisition, collection maintenance, display and publication of arts from the ancient Mediterranean, and to the civic engagement and operation of a small, important collection, specifically the Menil collection. Undergraduate students will be taught about the practices of research in a museum environment and will develop knowledge about curatorship. Credit cannot be earned for HART 312 and HART 540.
