Description: Introduction to anatomy and physiology and of the brain, basic electrophysiology, development of models of neurons and natural neural networks. Includes descriptions of neuromorphic circuits, which can represent neuron and network behavior in silicon. Course serves as an introduction to Neural Engineering. Cross-list: BIOE 481, NEUR 481. Recommended Prerequisite(s): Knowledge of basic electrical and operational amplifier circuits; and ordinary differential equations.
