Description: This course is an introduction to photography as an art form. Students will learn about the history of photography and photographic techniques, including both analog and digital methods. They will leave this course with a more developed creative practice concerning image making as a tool for visual communication. Assignments will include looking at, taking, discussing, adjusting, and writing about photographs. This course is online-only. During Summer Sessions, this course is delivered fully asynchronously, enabling students-both in the U.S. and internationally-to participate on a flexible schedule across time zones.
