Description: This course teaches basic concepts of GIS and common methods of spatial analysis that are important across all components of public health: environmental sciences, epidemiology, health planning and policy, health promotion, global health, etc. Through a combination of lectures, hands-on labs, and student projects, this course gives an overview of computer-based mapping and introduces basic techniques for spatial analysis.
