Description: The course will cover art and architecture in the United States from the early national period to the advent of modernism. Major artists studied will include Thomas Cole, Frederic Church, Winslow Homer, James Whistler, John Singer Sargent, Louis Comfort Tiffany, Richard Morris Hunt, Louis Sullivan, and Frank Lloyd Wright .
