Description: Designed for pre-law students, PLST Minors, Political Science Majors/Minors, and those interested in pursuing a J.D, Legal Interpretation sets out to make sense of the laws that govern the land and all the people within, all while providing an opportunity to question the morality of those rules. From insurance fraud to deviate sexual activity, Legal Interpretation delves deep into the influence and ramifications that the laws found within the codified body of both Federal & state statutes - the Penal Codes - and the various SCOTUS cases we have had over the past 80 years. Students will apply this knowledge and their own moral beliefs to ultimately answer the question: how should our personal ethical codes intersect with our interpretation of the law?
