Description: Course is a graduate level overview of population health, including the social determinates of morbidity and mortality, fertility and birth outcomes, health disparities, and contextual determinants of health. Course will cover major theoretical perspectives in the field, including fundamental cause theory, life course theory, and theories of stress and resilience. Cross-list: SOCI 425. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for SOCI 525 if student has credit for SOCI 425.
