Description: This class begins with two questions: what can the law teach us about literature and what can literature teach us about the law? The class will teach students fundamental college-level writing skills and analytical thought through the intersection of law and literature. We will engage with texts and multimedia from literary studies, legal studies, feminism, visual art and have the opportunity to speak with individuals working in the field of Human Rights Law as well as artists focusing on the implications of law in contemporary culture.
