Description: This course provides an introduction to advanced econometric techniques, focusing on time series and panel data as applied to energy markets. Students will learn to handle issues such as autocorrelation and seasonality in energy data, develop ARIMA models for forecasting, and apply these techniques in Python. The course emphasizes practical applications through lab sessions and concludes with a final project that requires students to conduct demand estimation and forecasting for an energy commodity, presented in an interactive dashboard format.
