Description: Course will examine how Spanish film has represented the sociocultural and political life of the country - from the Francoist years, exposing the image of a Catholic and homogenous Span, to a post-Francoist era open to social problems from a more secular and global perspective. Taught in Spanish. Previously offered as SPPO 369. Mutually exclusive. Credit cannot be earned for SPAN 369 if student has previously taken SPPO 369. Recommended Prerequisite(s): Third-year Spanish or permission of instructor.
