Description: There are many health benefits associated with gardening. On average, gardeners live longer than the population as a whole, and have fewer chronic physical and mental disorders. Gardening offers different levels of physical and mental activity and can be adapted to people with any special need. In this course, students are introduced to the basic practices of home gardening and will learn about the physical, mental and environmental benefits of this lifetime activity.
