Description: This course will explore how people interact with the law in their everyday lives – in the U.S. and elsewhere. Examples will include how individuals experience and respond to policing, examining the effects of immigration and border security policies, and tracing how people and groups mobilize to challenges laws perceived as unjust. Cross-list: ANTH 596, SOCI 396. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for ANTH 396 if student has credit for ANTH 596.
