Description: Continuation of MATH 423. Analysis of the solutions of second order differential equations. Integral relations and Green's functions. Potential theory, Dirichlet and Neumann problems. Asymptotic methods: the method of stationary phase, geometrical optics, regular and singular perturbation methods. Euler and Navier-Stokes equations. Cross-list: MATH 514. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for MATH 424 if student has credit for MATH 514. Repeatable for Credit.
