Description: An introduction to the basic concepts, algorithms and applications in computer vision. Topics include: cameras, camera models and imaging pipeline, low-level vision/image processing methods such as filtering and edge detection; mid-level vision topics such as segmentation and clustering; shape reconstruction from stereo, introduction to high-level vision tasks such as object recognition and face recognition. The course will involve programming and implementing basic computer vision algorithms in Matlab. Cross-list: ELEC 345.
