Description: The object of this workshop is to explore, practice and develop a series of drawing methods and techniques in the context of the architectural design process. Emphasis will be on the development of free-hand drawing skills that will enhance the ability the ability of the design in communicating conceptual ideas. The course will consist of a combination of lectures/demonstrations, in-class drawing exercises, and out-of-class assignments. Two sketch books (one at mid-term and one at the end of the semester) will also be required. Attendance is critical. Please come to the first class prepared to draw with pen and an 8 1/2 x 11 or 9 x 12 sketch pad. Cross-list: ARCH 363. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for ARCH 663 if student has credit for ARCH 363. Repeatable for Credit.
