Description: A study of peptide chemistry. The course will start by examining solid phase peptide synthesis and strategies to prepare both simple and complex peptide primary architectures. Next we will look at analytical methods to assess peptide purity and structure mass spec, HPLC, FT-IR, CD and NMR. The course will then consider the design and characterization of peptide sequences that will result in specific three dimensional structures.
