Description: Using the Concept Development Approach, this course will teach teachers how to engage students in inquiry science and provide teachers with in depth conceptual knowledge about chemical fundamentals. The course will include hands-on activities and discussions about chemical concepts that include atomic molecular theory, atomic structure, quantum energy levels, thermodynamics, equilibrium, and bonding. Nanotechnology research with environmental applications will be highlighted throughout the course.
