Description: This course will cover the fundamental principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, and transport in the context of classical and contemporary bioengineering problems. An overall goal will be to expose students to the integrated approaches that are necessary to solve complex research problems. Topics covered will include membrane transport, cell signaling, and mechanotransduction.
