Description: This course will begin with a brief survey of the Indo-European languages, followed by a detailed reconstruction of Prot-Indo-European phonology, morphology, and syntax. The second half of the course will deal with Indo-European culture, laws, society and poetics, together with a consideration of advanced topics in the individual branches. Cross-list: CLAS 336.
