Description: This course examines current issues in Japanese grammar in the framework of contemporary linguistic theory. Where appropriate, the traditional kokugogaku approach is compared with modern linguistic approaches. Basic knowledge of both Japanese and linguistics is required. Cross-list: JAPA 370.
