Description: Survey of major medieval Christian thinkers. Primary focus on the High and Late Middle Ages (12th-15th century), with some attention to formative earlier periods. Course material will include theology and philosophy alongside exemplary narratives and artistic representations. We will look at dissenting as well as orthodox thought in this period.
