Description: Explores issues of history, historiography, and hermeneutics within the context of Biblical Studies. While traditional forms of Biblical criticism are covered, the bulk of the course focuses on intertextuality, reception history, sociological methods, feminist views, and cognitive approaches. Graduate students (7500 word paper, seminar leadership, and oral presentation); Undergraduate students (5000 word paper and oral presentation).
