Description: Introducing the Tibetan alphabet and basics of grammar and Tibetan literary genres. Topics vary; Buddhist literature and art, personal narrative, core cultural characteristics. Readings in English and Tibetan. RELI 531: write a paper approximately one-third longer than the undergraduate equivalent (RELI 233) and complete a more substantial presentation. Graduate/Undergraduate Equivalency: RELI 233. Mutually Exclusive: Credit cannot be earned for both RELI 502 and RELI 233.
