Description: The course is a studio in public art led by Shrimp Boat Projects, an ongoing artistic investigation into the Houston region being developed by artists Eric Leshinsky and Zach Moser. Using the Houston region as its context, the course will focus on developing an understanding of how the specificity of the local can be used to examine broader systems of global interaction and meaning. Lectures, readings, discussion and field trips will complement studio assignments.
