Description: The course investigates issues of gender and sex in transnational Asian cultural and social spheres. Topics of immigration, sex tourism, Orientalism, and pop-culture will be accompanied by scholarly texts and examined as case studies. The students are expected to bring their own academic interests and expertise to discuss and contribute.
