Description: Advancement of biochemical laboratory methods, record keeping, technical communication skills, and research strategies. Students maintain a research quality laboratory notebook and submit a paper in the style of a journal article. Offered first half of each semester and in Summer Session I. SUMMER 2014: Lab meets first 2 weeks of session. BIOC 301 (formerly BIOS 301) is required but it can be taken during the same semester as BIOC 311.
