As the semester progresses assignments will become more experimental, giving students freedom to develop their own individual painting vocabularies. Slide lectures along with occasional museum and gallery visits will present a wide variety of contemporary approaches to painting which will fuel class discussion. Registration does not guarantee a place in class. The class roster is formulated on the first day of class by the individual instructor.
