Description: Three week semi-immersion intermediate Chinese course on listening and speaking with minimal emphasis on the learning of characters. Course aims to help students develop oral fluency at the sentence-to-paragraph level and the ability to perform communicative tasks to satisfy various personal and social needs through classroom activities and lab assignments. Intensive conversational course for enhancing aural/oral proficiency or in preparation for internships or study-abroad in Chinese-speaking societies. Course conducted in Chinese. Recommended prerequisite(s): Two semesters of Chinese or permission of the instructor.
