Description: A look at photography through the writing of critics, historians, philosophers, theorists, and photographers. Students will engage picture-making through reading, writing, discussions, presentations, and making digital photographs. Activities will include field trips for viewing exhibitions and taking photographs. Assignments will include written papers, oral prsentations, and digital photographs. Phone cameras are acceptable. This course is eligible for credit toward the major in Visual and Dramatic Arts.
