Description: This course is designed to introduce first-year students from a variety of academic backgrounds to the major literary genres of fiction, poetry, drama, and creative non-fiction. Students will learn and practice the skills of close reading, interpretation, and literary analysis through discussion and critical writing about literature and language. This course is limited to first year students only, any others will be removed from this course.
