Description: This course will explore how people interact with the law in their everyday lives – in the U.S. and elsewhere. Examples will include how individuals experience and respond to policing, examining the effects of immigration and border security policies, and tracing how people and groups mobilize to challenges laws perceived as unjust. Cross-list: SOCI 396, ANTH 396. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for ANTH 596 if student has credit for ANTH 396.
