Description: This reading seminar examines Mexico from the early nineteenth century to present through reading classic and current scholarship. It delves into questions in Mexican historiography such as political instability, economic development and inequality, the origins of social movements, the Mexican Revolution and the relationship with the US. Cross-list: HIST 420. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for HIST 500 if student has credit for HIST 420.
