Description: The course covers select topics in the archaeology and paleoanthropology of Asia from the arrival of Homo erectus to the development of the earliest civilizations. Class discussions will focus on the history of exploration in Asia and the main debates that have shaped the study of prehistory in the largest continent on Earth. Cross-list: ANTH 374.
