Description: Survey of the component and standards trends that are the basis of personal computers and digital appliances with the aim of predicting technologies, solutions, and new products five years into the future. Examples of these technologies are dual Core processors, iPods and their evolution, mobile wireless data devices, and even Google vs. Microsoft. Students will each pick a topic important to the digital lifestyle and through a series of one-on-one sessions develop a depth of understanding that is presented to the class.
