Description: An introduction to syntactic analysis and argumentation. Various topics will be covered, including (but not limited to) word classes, grammatical categories, simple and complex sentences, and constituency. Prerequisite of LING 500 may be taken concurrently with LING 504. Without Permission of Instructor, must have Graduate Standing. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for LING 504 if student has credit for LING 304.
