Description: A study of the somatic and autononmic nervous system control of biological systems. Simulation methods, as well as, techniques common to linear and nonlinear control theory are used. Also included is an introduction to sensors and instrumentation techniques. Examples are taken from the cardiovascular, respiratory, and visual systems. Requirements: Knowledge of basic electrical and operational amplifier circuits; and ordinary differential equations. Cross-list: BIOE 482.
