Description: This course will examine some of the more bizarre stories of the Hebrew Bible, which deal with such ideas as fratricide, seduction and incest. We will see how such stories have been interpreted, and been afforded meaning, throughout the ages. All texts will be read in English translation. This course is limited to first-year students only. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for FSEM 109 if student has credit for FWIS 177.
