Description: This advanced seminar analyzes interdisciplinary efforts by scholars of religion to engage scientific research. We assess the possibilities for collaboration, as well as conflict, between humanistic and scientific disciplines, asking how the tools of interpretation and empiricism might enrich our understanding of religious phenomena. RELI 610 requires additional reading and longer research paper. Graduate/Undergraduate Equivalency: RELI 405. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for RELI 610 if student has credit for RELI 405.
