Description: Part I of the course first covers the basics of consumer demand and then focuses on the relevant costs in making production and pricing decisions, with an emphasis on seeking economics rather than accounting profit. Part II explores incentive problems in decision-making within firms and studies the relation between decision rights, compensation, and performance evaluation in productive organizational design.
