Description: Focused discussion of the history and methods of the study of religion via close readings of classical texts and narratives of the field from 1900-present. Graduate course will require reading of more books and a longer paper to write. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for RELI 559 if student has credit for RELI 428.
