Description: In this course we will explore several factures that shape a global world including the role of nation states, econimic captial, and laws that permit or inhibit the movement of people across borders. This course will also closely examine patterns of migration in the 20th century and examine femail migrants whose work plays a vital role in the contemporary global economy. Cross-list: ASIA 302.
