Description: Focuses on essentials of corporate finance for students interested in capital markets, banking and investment banking. It builds on the basic principles of the structure of the banking system, capital market structures and functions, funding and solvency issues, and also looks at current regulatory, political and agency issues. The emphasis is on an overview of how the banking and investment banking businesses function, empirical evidence / industry speakers, and case studies and requires an understanding of the basic principles of capital markets and finance.
