Description: In this introduction to Mexican Literature we will sample genres, historical and geographical settings and points of view characteristic of works written by Mexican authors from pre-Columbian times to the 20th century. Topics include Mesoamerican, colonial, nineteenth and twentieth century poetry, Recommended Prerequisite(s): Third-year Spanish or permission of the instructor.
