Description: In this course, students will explore how graffiti express individual and collective identities, humor, power and subversion, and social commentary. Case studies will range from the graffiti within Pompeii's 2000-year-old brothel to the artwork of the famous graffiti artist Banksy. Cross-list: HART 203.
