Description: This course gives a broad overview of the biology of infectious diseases using examples from humans, plants, and animals. Topics include diversity of diseases, mechanisms of disease transmission, epidemiology, population regulation, evolution of virulence, disease dynamics in natural communities and disease invasion and conservation biology.
