Description: Course content includes demonstration of and brief lectures on intermediate-level American Style Merenque and Samba. Students will participate in drills created to improve footwork, arm positioning, and leading and following skills. This social dance class is performed in couples requiring an equal number of men and women. Women should register for Section One and men should register for Section Two. Failure to register in the correct section will result in the loss of placement in the class. Prerequisites: Successful completion of LPAP course or other Social Dance instruction approved by instructor. Students taking this course for credit will be required to complete an extra written assignment and will be expected to help instructor demonstrate course material.
