Description: This course will analyze the radiative heat transfer phenomena. After introduction, radiative exchange between surfaces in an enclosure without a radiatively participating medium will be analyzed. Then the radiative transfer equation through an absorbing, emitting and scattering medium (or participating medium) will be developed. The radiative properties of gases and particulates will be discussed.
