Description: Statistical methods for functional data, with emphasis on non-parametric bases representations, such as wavelets. Topics include smoothing of noisy signals, non parametric estimation of densities and regression functions, and representations of stochastic processes. Some emphasis is given to Bayesian inferential procedures. Matlab software is used for class demonstrations. No prior knowledge on wavelets is required.
