Description: Seminar examines how a new "post-war order" emerged in the U.S. and Western Europe during the decade following WWII. Emphasis on international and domestic features: rise of international institutions, welfare states and planning, ethnic cleansing and population management, effects of marshall Plan and Americanization, European integration and race relations.
