Description: Research seminar on selected topics in the history of science, technology or medicine. Topic in Spring 2006 - skepticism, relativism, and subjectivity. Main objectives: a critical history of skepticism and its uses in western tradition, and consideration of recent contemporary histiographies which embrace skeptical or subjectivist modes.
